Maybe I’m just catching up with the rest of the world… but I only recently discovered Snapguide! Have you seen this app?!
Allowing you to create simple how-to tutorials on anything from growing your own avocado tree to creating cake pops (see above for the end result) to changing your car tire… It’s like asking my friends for help on the simplest things, without the stares of disbelief that I have never changed a flat in my life!
Now in talks with Pinterest - one of the first external start-ups to integrate themselves with the booming trend that is the Pinterest phenomenon - Snapguide is “one of the first to consider the growing interest… to develop applications on top of Pinterest’s platform (like has happened with Facebook and Twitter).” Pretty monumental, considering both companies’ relatively recent launch dates!
I can safely say that I am into it. Any help I can get in the decorating, designing, building or generally-living-my-life-productively department is greatly appreciated…

Are we the only ones who feels like this modern world is gradually moving in the direction of becoming the more like Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry?
Harry Potter and moving pictures, here we come! A new iPhone app turns photos into animated GIFs, emphasizing the “flick of a cat’s tail,” eyes blinking, or really just about anything else that moves.
The jury’s still out on this one… So what do you think? Cool or creepy? Fun or freaky?

So, we aren’t really sure how to pronounce the name… but we’ve heard through the grapevine that there is another new social networking site on the rise: gtrot.

Originally launched as a social networking site for travel destination recommendations, this application will be relaunched at the end of March as a tool to explore your own city. Promising to combine reviews from connections on Facebook, Foursquare and Twitter, gtrot will give you tips from friends about areas to explore in your own city.
Has this already been done, with local discovery apps like Trover? Or has gtrot stumbled upon a new networking niche, with its integration of other social sites?

Here at Haworth, we’re crazy about Instagram. This iPhone app (soon-to-be-Android app, too) allows the user to take, alter and share photographs. With over 150 million users, and updates constantly improving its interface and usability, this app is just getting started.
This series of photographs, inspired by the chilly days of winter, makes us all want to duck and cover from the snowstorm currently sneaking up on Minneapolis. But I have a feeling that the amateur photographer in all of us will want to peek its head out from under a down comforter to snap an Instagram masterpiece- inspired by snow, beautiful snow.
If you happen to catch the snow in a moment of glory, we’d love to see your Instagram-ed photo here!
